  1. I've updated the post to specify what we're hoping to achieve in coming days for the front page. :)

did you really expect this topic to get no replies when it has such an alluring title. you may as well have just said dont press the big red button

I never clicked on that. :)

  2. OP clients are genrelly avalible to anyone. It is the hub soft that prevents non-OPs users from using it

Exactly. No point in a regular user downloading the Op client when the features/commands aren't displayed to them.

  3. True Crise, but this is a new feature, I have ever confidence it'll develop and block flash to, and that google ads will be blocked in future too. As to the automatically importing of lsits, again this may well be availble in future as the feature develops, as this is probably already stored in a seperate file already i guess you kind of can "import" more manually. Hopefully Opera will build this into the client a lot more, it could be really good if they do it properly.

Yeah, because I like Opera appearance/toolbar over Firefox. Like you said, was faster to load and render pages. :)

  4. yes i can get it in the very bottom of the screen but not directly below address bar. and i'm using weekly builds of opera 9 (currently same as beta 2, but not for long)

Exactly the same issue I had with Opera. The customisation isn't up to scratch..

  5. Funniest thing to happen to me on DC: Well, does this have to be from my point of view, or can it just involve me? You see I was once staying round a friend's hosue and I'd fallen asleep and he decided it'd be funny to put his webcam on and give a link to the members of a private hub we're both on and then proceed to slap me and put shoe polish on my face whilest I slept. Not too funny for me, but I know others certainly found it funny, so I guess it was the funniest thing to happen to me on DC.

    Now that was funny.

  6. Yesterday we hit 2,000 forums posts (screenshot below). Considering we're only requesting features, discussing these possible features and posting behind-the-scenes experimental builds to enjoy I think we're doing pretty well. Something we'll all be looking forward to is finally releasing a public beta and observing the forum activity skyrocket (obviously not posting bugs/crashes though ;) ) and the popularity of ApexDC++ rise!

I believe thanks are in order to everyone who is supporting the project in it's initial stages and we hope to reward you with some goodness in coming weeks or, even, months. :)

On a website related note, I re-wrote the donation page allowing people to see who's already supporting ApexDC++ and hopefully enticing more people to do so.

  7. By the way is there a thread for the Linux version ? I think there should be one ...

A topic for what? All requests can go in the feature request forum, we're hoping to keep the regular and linux versions similar of features.
