Try setting the port higher, and reboot the router once you've changed the settings.

Other dedicated software firewalls are better than "very good". :)

As promised, all registered members on our forums now have access to download and test the new 1.0.0 Beta 5 before being released to the public. This version sees significant improvements to resource usage and merges with the new StrongDC++ 2.1 release. A full announcement will be available in a few weeks once we've received enough feedback on the beta. You can view the download topic here (members only), please follow the instructions before posting.

I've always thought this is a pointless game that eventually will sit eating bandwidth. I'd prefer to close this snak3y, sorry.

I understand your point, but it looks so much neater in a submenu.

Your joke could cause ApexDC.net to discontinue (if one person does it, why not all?). We do not approve of using ApexDC++ for copyright material, and neither do the authorities. :whistling: Back on topic: Removing it won't happen. ;)

There will always be issues. We'll make a cut off point. :)

Today our project achieved 1,000,000 downloads on SourceForge. This is a huge achievement for the management team and everybody involved within the project. We want to the thank the community for spreading the word about ApexDC++ and to those who continue to introduce new users to the program. To celebrate this milestone, we are going to open up the development area for a week. This will allow all registered members (so register if you haven't already) on our forums to download alpha builds that will lead to Beta 5. Once we have the alpha build compiled and release package ready, we will open up the development area to members. Happy holidays! Let's hope it snows.

A new beta version is available for download, fixing issues found in previous versions and merging to StrongDC++ 2.05. There are also new improvements that should decrease memory usage and other general optimisations. Beta 4 should allow us to set our sights on a final stable release. You can view the full changelog for details and our how to upgrade guide. Users are encouraged to try out this beta, but please revert back to 0.4.0 if you encounter any problems.

Probably because 99.99% of our userbase doesn't know what ADC is, or when they are connected to a hub that supports it.

Please keep the topic clean folks. I believe partial file sharing is an excellent feature improving the speed of which a file is seeded to a hub. Whether or not there should be an option to disable partial file sharing altogether was something discussed a while ago. I don't personally see a reason for an option. You can download parts of files off others, and upload parts too.

What Satan is trying to say (albeit not politely) is that clients that fake their limit speed (or don't show it at all) shouldn't be on DC.

Merry Christmas everyone. Edit: Santa brings StrongDC++ 2.06 early.
-
He meant that he can use eMule instead of having Kad in ApexDC++ to find rare files. :)
-
This is so annoying. I just watched The Kingdom too. :)
-
Nope. It was only considered. It invaded private hub's privacy. :)
-
Damn, just watched that film too. Wasn't quick enough.
