that's strange since apexdc can not be set to use 0 slots i think, atleast i could not do that myself, is this in all hubs you try?

I wish, that the preview function in apexdc was more automated.. what i mean ? When i install apexdc it should check for programs known for being able to play incomplete files for example VLC player can play 90% of video files i know of (tho not realmedia) even incomplete files also, if i install vlc or programs known for being able to do that it should add it to the preview app list. also double clicking files in download queue should play the best (or configured default) for that file type good idea ?

Hi As i have said before, i had the problem of Internet Explorer always opening links i click in ApexDC++ Now, i found the reason, the reason is simple Even if Firefox thinks it is the default browser an important registry key is NOT changed, the default application variable... So, how to change (Please note i do not take responsibility for damages after editing the registry) Start > Run > "regedit" (without quotes) Browse to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > http > shell > open > ddeexec > Application Change the (Default) to "Firefox" (without quotes) Then go to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > http > shell > open > command Change the (Default) to: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe" -requestPending -osint -url "%1" (that whole line, with quotes) Now, do the same to https, just in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > https area, no keys are different Why firefox does not do this automatically is a mystery, but hey, my fix works p.s. i'll see if i can make a reg file do this automatically and safely. p.s 2 maybe this belongs as a guide "To make IE stop opening URL's" EDIT: i made a reg file that does this automatically, just download and run it... HERE

never used that my way is more simple in my oppinion oh and no im on vista u must be using a fake or something xp with vista fake ? well my script works on any windows platform :)

Sometimes when i click a dchub:// link apexdc opens a new instance of itself and without asking.. wery annoying... please fix :blushing:

but apexdc is the selected HANDLER for this protocol, there can't be two handlers, just one and i only have one :P

my browser is firefox, also, why would the question for a new instance be skipped ??? the program is sent a dchub link, it tryes to run but sees that it is already open, send the dchub link to the already running process :P

yes i am sure, the same exe file is run again, i checked that with process explorer :P

sharing over a network, over a wireless connection, ouch don't think that's a very good idea :P

what is your connection mode ? have you tried direct connection?

crash, ? is there an error ? do you have an exception ? is there something in the exeptioninfo.txt file that is recent ?

well im talking about the fact that the HUBWINDOWS within the apex main window are sometimes resized...

that only happens to me after i open apexdc (it starts minimized) but when i maximize the hubwindows, minimize apex and restore axpex i see the windows always resizing and maximizing (especially if my computer is very busy)

that is something you need to ask the hubadmin

you can try netlimiter, you can limit internet users to some "normal" speeds, like 50-80 kB/s and local network unlimited could you test your speed on www.speedtest.net and tell us the speeds u get i got

whats wrong with fast uploading?

only want lan, just be in lan hubs
