But surely doing this would restrict you as well? I mean, say your downloading a file a 5Kb/s then a user joins a hub you've just left with an upload of 100Kb/s....you've wasted your own time....

AFAIK Apex does not even use the registry or such, so it should run explicitly from the .exe file alone.

I feel that sort of option would remove choice. But even at that, surely a note somewhere stating in big letters that you need to enable emote's would solve this sort of question??

Last time I checked, it didn't. When I enabled it, downloading NFO files for things was a practical impossibility unfortunately.

It is possible, that you have extracted it to a folder that does not allow your user account to run exe's. If this is the case simply add your extracted folder as allowed by the user account. I'm in work at present and the PC here is restricted so I can't access the folders to give a more in depth explanation, sorry.

The Prob with not duplicating is that a lot of files have the same name but mean other things. Important.txt is a common one for example.
