Re-set your network address back to 0.0.0.0. Check your router for a Dynamic DNS label, if so go into there are set up according (you'll need to enter the hostname you quoted above and you username and password). Then click update. After that, reboot your router. If you do not have that label, download No-IP DUC and enter your details in there. Now, into the external/Wan IP Box in Apex enter your host name with the relevant ports (keep the port settings the same as you have at mo, do not alter them). Once you've done that, save your settings and restart Apex and you should be good to go.

Use the pinned topic! *sigh*

It can take a while to update your file size, this is due to uploading to hubs etc. it's normal, give it a mo, it will update.
-
Yes because MS won't give them the code to make it work :D
-
Ok, I see your point also, let's leave it at that, the point is however, if other's people can make OS's that work with other apps, why cant ms? :D
-
Well you CAN prove that MS products are NOT the best, it has been done many times. My Linux box never crashs and hasn't done for years, the MS one constantly messes itself up (best I ever got from a windows machines for 2 months uptime, yet I have had 8 months a linux box, and it only shut down because a PSU failed). So yes, as much as your argument may be valid, in the context that MS software is flawless, but it's far from it, also, they are one of the richest co's in the world and simply choose to make things uncompatible to make even more money....
-
That is because your IP is something different, if your IP is highly dynamic use a Dynamic DNS to resolve it.
-
Not without making it incompatible with DC hubs no.
-
It doesn't work that way, for example, an car engine has parts that fit OTHER cars, an MS product fits ONLY an MS product.
-
I didn't know ISP used 192.168.1.x as an IP, in a way this makes the IP a lower version than IP4, which doesn't make sense. BTW, the IP in ipconfig IS NOT your external IP, go to whatismyip.com and check it is actually 192.168.1.136.
-
It would need re-programmed, so no, it cant be done.
-
Or more likely windows will be recoded to match linux better and windows apps should work on it. MS are in court at mo over making their OS so it's incompatible with others.
-
They are, but may not have thought to look.

Im just glad I speak english, problem with translating, is a new version becomes avail and you have translate it all over again, or large parts of it anyway.

Most hubs accept 1slot=2hubs, so we should be able to set the ratio down to 0.5 IMHO, btw, if we do this manually thru DCPlusPlus.xml does it over-ride it for us and go back to 1 or will it work?
-
It should be the PC address, 192.xx not your external that you forward. Port forwarding means that the PC at that specific address has access on those ports. So if the IP address of the machine matchs the 192.xx you entered into the port forwarding section on your router this should work correctly. Edit: So it's external IP in Apex and Internal IP in your router.

Crash already posts Dj, no need to post again, read the stickies and use B5.
-
I hate the hub/slot ratio option, it don't have an option for 0.5 slots per hub.
-
Go into your connection details (double click the wee computers in task bar) and double check that under details your IP matches the reserved IP you gave yourself.
-
use portforward.com to help you configure the router.
-
Go to portforward.com and make sure that your ports are forwarded correctly. Also, reboot the router.
-
Weird, but i'm sure MS will fix it.
-
You make your changes client side, in settings. However, you might be kicked by the hub for spamming the search.
-
1. You cant, it's built in 2. Because you are dropping from multiple segments down to one 3. It's not, it just seems that way 4. Yes! go to advanced>experts only and set max tab rows to 10.

You connecting through a modem or a router?
