I'm against anything that increases file list size. At present. My file list is 450Kb and my share is 1.10Tb. I downloaded a file list at the weekend which was 4.5MB for a 600Gb share. So many people already have oversized lists, simply because they cant sort out decent folders for their shares. This feature would give these n00b's even more bulk!!! Another thing, I have 7 HDD's, so if this feature was implemented and I moved a folder from say Share1 to Share3, would this not re-assemble all the date's shared into todays date, making the feature useless.....why do people need to know when you shared the file?

Any decent router WILL filter ports, and IP's. Anything you desire tbh, at least, all my router's have done.

If you have a router, it should include a firmware firewall, which is better than any software one. So use it and ditch winfirewall.

Used to have it, I loved it, but was removed as apparently it's negative to the network.... +1 for this No longer necessary as fast segments overlap slow one's so this is not required. Also, user definable would not work because there are two many 'if's' to make it work. Don't see why not, but is there really any need, most people are changing things for a reason?

Ok, your post is not completely clear. Are you using a DynDNS service? If so, how? Through router? Which service? Through DUC? Secondly, which ports are you using? Also, does DC tell you there are probs opening ports when you open it? Does passive mode work? Try these things and report back pls.

It doesn't skip certain ones, it's a random anomaly in the NMDC protocol, so say you do the same search twice, once it will work, the second time it won't. It's probably so sort of safety feature to avoid flooding the network.

Sorry but this is an age old question my friend. The DC protocol will do this, it only returns certain results for some reason. I have had situations where I have searched for a file numerous times with no results, then subsequently looked in someone's file list and found it....

Also, SDC does not crash with this, but it won't move the folder.

If it helps, this bug does not seem to depend on folders not being english, but I can move the files directly, I just cant move an entire folder....

I moved the folder via DC Download queue, call me stupid, but what is FAR?

DC 'sort of' get's around this problem by demanding users have a share to connect to hubs.

Have you tried turning off UAC and WinFirewall?

The traffic on DC++ does not have enough information within it to allow this feature of vista firewall to work. So you can't do this until ADC sort out there TLS fully.

I'm gunna give DC++ a wee try later, will be nice to see it with segmented downloads.

IIRC, and I could be wrong, phpBB will also convert the forum titles, not all the content, but forum titles go with it.

Does this forum not have an option to display the forums in a different language anyway? PhpBB supports user preference on the language and it will display the language in accordance with that setting.
