How can I run ApexDC through a proxy?

It would be nice if Apex would use an alternate nickname if the original was already taken.

Ability to easily add recently downloaded locations to favorite download locations.

If you select get file list from the menu when you right click the user it will get all of the folders.

Is there a way that I can tell ApexDC++ what hub to connect to based on a startup command line?

Still wondering about the selecting hub via command line also.

None of my mapped network drives show up in the file list where you select what to share. Also when I try to browse for the default download location the Mapped Network Drive does not show up as an option. If I go into windows explorer the Mapped Network Drive appears just fine as drive Z. I am running Windows 7 32-bit.

Can you add a way to reorder the favorite download locations other than by removing and readding them?

Any ideas how I can get an incoming connection to work in direct connect mode? I tried proxifier but it only works in passive mode.

How about a WebUI that allows you to control ApexDC++ from another computer using a web page?

But for the even super idiots if they download it again, it doesn't download it from themself but rather other users.

If a file is already in the users share and they try to download it again warn them and if they still want to download it again (and they have selected a different folder to download to) treat it as a file copy operation/download it from themself.

How about a file preview feature? I know that for example VLC can play a partially downloaded file so how about a right-click menu option for "Preview file" or something along those lines. Again many of the torrent clients do this...

I know that. It was a suggestion for a feature to be addrd at the same time. They seem to be related.

By integration I mean optional integration. Also you should do your research before you blame something for having spyware.

Can you add an option so that I can right click a current connection and select cancel file download and have it remove the file from my downloads queue (rather than having to go to the download queue and select remove)?

If you are going to have it off by default don't bother -- not enough people will turn it to help grow the DHT network and very few people will take advantage of it. If the hub blocks DHT people they are lame. Don't tell them. I think the main issue is people don't understand DHT -- including myself. So again I say this needs to be added -- torrent clients support it why not ADC? If DC wants to get anywhere you have to do as good as or better than torrent clients in terms of download speed and options. Why can't this just be implimented like torrent clients have it implemented? If the user starts downloading a file search the DHT network and see if anyone else has the file you are downloading so the download can go faster? In terms of sharing this would make it so the user already has to have the option to download it from their hub so if they end up downloading part of it from you so what. It's not like you can hide a file thats already out there.

If you add a new favorite downloads directory and forget the trailing slash (/) in the directory path it doesn't put the file in the correct directory. e.g. Favorite Directory: C:\Users\Ben\Downloads\DC\Share\TV Shows\FlashForward.S01.HDTV.XviD-ScT File you download: FlashForward.S01E05.HDTV.XviD-2HD It would end up being called FlashForward.S01.HDTV.XviD-ScTFlashForward.S01E05.HDTV.XviD-2HD and placed in C:\Users\Ben\Downloads\DC\Share\TV Shows\ I realize this is small but I can see how many people may never figure out why their downloads aren't going to the right place. The fix should be easy.

How can I become a tester or do you just post the beta builds somewhere?
