Thanks, unchecked it. Didn't help. But afterward, opened and closed the program several more times and there was no delay. It seems to be a matter of whether or not the drive is 'sleeping' or not. Not sure.

Thank you. USB cable is fine. I have been just copying the new .exe and .pdb on updates.

It has only now occured to me what has been referenced. I kept looking at the checkbox in appearances and did not realize there was a checkbox when right clicking on a favorite hub at properties. This of course is not checked by default. Sometimes I make easy things hard. (I know I wasn't alone though ;-) Sorry and thanks.

Well I can't explain why that was happening, but things seem back to normal. I removed the share. Program loaded quickly as normal with no share. Provided a share on an internal drive. Program again loaded quickly as normal. Changed back to my regular share on the USB external. Again, loading normally once again. I have no idea what happened, or why doing this "cleared" it. Just wanted to stop back and mention that, Thank you. I spoke too soon... just had to close Apex and reload,.. and again the drive is polled while the splash screen says ...loading shared files,. or whatever it says. Takes about 40-45 seconds or more. Not tragic. I'm just curious about the issue.

Thanks for replies. Yes,. checks share before and would have to as you say. Perhaps I didn't make it clear. Now it seems to be doing a share refresh, "waking" up the external drive doing its count which for about 150GB on a USB ext. takes a minute or more. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong that this refresh is taking place before the program loads where it did so afterward in earlier versions. Now after joining a hub, mousing over for activity does not show 'file list refreshed' where it did after joining in previous versions. Hope I made myself clear. Thanks again

I notice 0.3.0 takes considerably longer to load. I am using a USB external drive and Apex appears now to check the share before the program opens. In previous versions it seemed to open instantly, and then check the share after I had already joined a hub. This seems to have changed. Thank you.

I am having a problem with parts/joins not showing. My 'show joins' is checked in appearance, and has been, however joins/parts do not show. /showjoins produces [10:25:47] *** Join/part showing on, which I assume would indicate that they were off. Joins/parts do start appearing now but on reloading the program, the command nor the checkbox has is 'stuck'. Thanks.

Many thanks for all the information. As it's not server controllable, he'll just have to live with it for now. As a server I do not like this, and it shuts out people who should get a slot, but of course a leecher's delight. Thanks again.

I'm only in one hub, so have not experienced this. A friend brought to my attention that he is in two hubs, only having a total of two slots. Another user in both of these hubs as well is receiving file(s), one each in both hubs, taking up both of his available slots. It appears that a segment of the same file, or the same file is being sent via each hub. Of course no one can get a slot now. I didn't think this was possible. Looked for a setting to control it, found nothing. Am I overlooking something obvious. Thank you. (Searched for topic, could not find anything. Apologies if it's been covered)

Thank you. In this case yesterday I know the individual did receive all jparts of all 19 files from me only, while 4 appeared, and there was a TTH match as subsequently others received files from each of us. (They are using DC++0.668)

For a time I have thought that not all files sent appeared in Finished Uploads. In the past I assumed that some matched files were sent by others. However today I was sure that of 19 unique files, only 4 appeared in Finished Uploads. Is this a known possible problem, or an issue I have. Is it possibly limited to certain users?
