HTTP is a completely different protocol than NMDC/ADC.

I am getting these messages as well, and I have asked in the DHT thread more times, noone has been able to provide the answer WHY I was getting them. I have disabled DHT for the time being, it was never of use to me anyway (just to the other people downloading from me, meh)...

Well, then imagine this as a search plugin for definitions in Wikipedia with customizable server address :stuart:

A nice and unexpected release. Good work!

I can imagine this could be handled by plugins. For example, I personally don't like imdb.com, I like csfd.cz for that purpose much better. So one could use a plugin that would open a browser window (or tab) with the desired page which would contain the search results.

I don't think so but I would like to be surprised :(

Oh, didn't see that, sorry :D

One of our users has found out that pressing Ctrl+O opens his own filelist. However, this shortcut key is missing in the File - Open own filelist menu item. Adding it there should be a matter of 5 seconds :D

Yes, but... maybe there should be an option to start the download from this particular user only - useful when checking user's upload speed - when I don't want the file(s) anyway, just start to download them and then cancel the transfer.

I am an operator of our university campus hub as well. We have a pre-configured Apex for our users to download - everything is set up to minimize trouble: the connection settings, Slovak language file, color scheme, favorite hub with autoconnect checked and other settings. I think he thought of this as well, so not a "modified" version, but rather a "pre-configured" one It is a fact that our ApexDC++ userbase is growing and people say it is the best client - they have used DC++ or StrongDC++ before.
-
To the nick problem: just choose another nick or get your nick registered on that hub so that it is protected by a password on the hub, so noone else can enter it with your nick. To the connection problem: is this happening in Apex only, or in StrongDC++ or vanilla DC++ as well?

All working very well, great job there

Make sure the XML file of your smile pack is valid (by using the w3c validator) as you might be overlooking something.
-
If you have an option not to install crapware and it is not checked by default, then I see no reason why not

Most probably you don't have a public IP address on your network interface you are using in Apex. It should work in passive mode, however, if you want to be active, you will need to forward your ports (or ask your provider to do that if you don't have access to the router).
-
Do you really need to be connected to 100 hubs?
-
Are you sure the hub which is not working for you, is set up properly for guest users? I mean, some hubs cheat their usercount by not allowing non-registered users to search and download.
-
there is a checkbox under the advanced settings. something like "publish shared files on dht"...
-
Set "41.132.212.198" in your Connection settings (External / Wan IP). Beware, the interface for all connections has to be left on 0.0.0.0 !
-
You are right, you can't do that.
-
First, convince the hub owners to allow newer versions of Apex. The 1.3.0 s very, very buggy. Note: I am using Daemon Tools and don't have this problem.

You are talking about a particular hub, not about a hublist. However, you can find this hub in a public hublist (surprise!). Click the first icon on the toolbar, that will open the hublist. Use the filter to search for what you want.
