Great opportunities for those who do not like hashing much. But how this would work with filelists? When you download list from someone, its already contains info about all hashes.

As far as I don't have unlim internet, I'd prefer downloading a new binary to some folder. So If I need to give it to a friend, I would just copy it. And of course this feature should allow of turning off automatic updates.

ИМХО, тут большая завязка с хабом. А так как всех хабостроителей не заставишь добавить такую фичу, накроется все медным тазом. Быть прокси поинтереснее фишка, но много ли народу согласятся и захотят ли авторы апекса быть настолько революционными?)

One thing terribly annoys me. I have 1Mbit upload speed. I have opened 5 slots. Theoretically, a downloader must get 110Kb/5=12Kb download speed. But practically we have someone who download with speed 40Kb and others with 2-7Kb (even though they do not download anything else). Couldn't be more intellegent bandwidth splitting mechanism implemented, so everyone will download at they same speed based on opened and busy slots?

Theoretically it could be so, but practically i was noticed about some situations, where I was only source and user wasn't able to download faster, even though his down chanel wasn't full. I'm thinking of this feature as some "Quality of Service" thingy for users who download from me.

the_X_files You can't set speed limit lower than 30 Kb/s. So it makes Apex's limiter useless, because we have 256-512 kbit (23-55 kb/s) up speeds here, but nothing more. I'd like to have bandwidth load balancer or something like that, so everyone who downloads from me, download with same fixed speed. Now I see very unpretty image - someone's downloads with 50 kb/s speed, then other 4 only 1-2 Kb/s.

Ehehe, then also set lower bound of this limit a bit less than 30 kb/s. 10 for example, for slow ADSL lines (with up speed 256-512 Kbit)

Make an option and turn it off by default! I also would like to have an option for automatic splitting of large messages (we have 512 chars limit).

Hey, maybe you can implement minimum text send interval (like with search). And Apex would automaticly wait before sending next line. So you'll not receive an error message from hub.

Speaking of system output i meant something like in the tooltip on this screenshot. Also, I think it might be some graphics corruption (region marked red). If I point it with mouse, this tooltip comes out. Is it works as it should?

2Crise aninerbe wants to say, that this field will be automaticlly or manually updated with correct value when user with *this* nick will enter into chat. Can't believe its hard to implement.

Я немного потерялся в последних моментах этой дискуссии. Просто ради разъяснения - CID есть уникальный ID используемый для идентификации пользователя, так что если оставить его пустым, ничего работать не будет...

BTW, aninerbe, Crise под CID имел ввиду ClientID, а не Criminal Investigation Department ;)
