  1. All right so is it just me or apex doesn't connect to everyone cuz i have 374 Users i can download from on a file and yet i only have 3 segments open and i'm downloading with a speed of 8kb/s. I know that i can only connect to users that have free slots but i checked the users when i did a search for alternates and theres at least 50 of them with free slots so why is it that im only connected to 3 of them?

I'm Using Win 64 bit btw and i have a DI 524 router but i am using DMZ for my pc so the ports should all be open also i disabled my win firewall and my other one as well so i can just get the program to work. Apex still puts me in passive mode if i do a [get IP address] but if i manually set the ports and WAN IP address the program works apparently fine.

Is there something i did to the program that makes my downloads so slow and also i never see apex try to connect to the users i have to do it manually all the time.

I also tried my old peer web client and I can't seem to get it to work it keeps saying manually configure ur NAT and it doesnt work in passive mode either. Could it be cuz of my crap ass router?

  2. Settings > Downloads > Queue

You can manage the number of segments you want on all files, or allow the program to do it automatically (on large files, it'll allow 10 segments).

Yeah i know that that's why i put it on manual 10 segments at all times but it still seems to stay around 4-5 segments and also the program slows down rly bad after a while to the point that i can't use it anymore. Could it be cuz i'm connected to 35+ hubs?

  3. I've been using apex for some time now and i've seen that the downloads don't go over 4-5 segments even if i do a connect to all and i have 500+ peers i can download from. Is this a problem with the program or is it specific to my PC?

    I'm using Windows XP 64

    AMD Athlon 3000+ 64-bit processor
