Settings lost in reinstalling

hi guys,

i always keep the apex dc++ folder backed up and if i ever reinstall the os or change hdd just install the app on that folder. Everything worked. now when i installed the latest version of apex on that folder it wiped out everything completely. Well i still have the settings folder backed up. I have retried couldn't get anything back.

Anything you thing might help?? replies are much appreciated.

Yes, please delete dcppboot.xml in your ApexDC++ folder and it should work.

If you've only upgraded from a minor version there hasn't been any changes relating to this.

dcppboot.xml is most likely your problem - unless you didnt use the installer? It points your settings to AppData rather than using ApexDC++/Settings

i tried fidgeting with Appdata din help but got your point. i re-registered with hubs. thanks anyway..
