Running Multiple Instances of ApexDC++ 1.3.5

2 posts in this topic

I used to be able to simultaneously run up to 3 instances of ApexDC++ prior to an upgrade to 1.3.4. I need to do this to share different folders on different hubs.

I have each instances executable installed in a seperate folder and within the folder is the Settings folder for that particular instance.

e.g.

C:/Users/Public/Instance1/ApexDC++ for the executable

C:/Users/Public/Instance1/Settings for that instances Settings folder

C:/Users/Public/Instance2/ApexDC++ for the executable

C:/Users/Public/Instance2/Settings for that instances Settings folder

The problem I'm having is that whichever executable I start it always starts with Instance1 settings, even when I have deleted the settings for Instance1.

1) Is there a guide to running multiple instances

2) Are setting stored somewhere else other than in the Settings folder

3) Where does ApexDC++ 1.3.5 look for its settings

Many thanks if you can offer me any help

Jack

Hey jack, welcome to the forums. :)

When you install ApexDC++ with our setup file, it'll ask you whether you want to store settings per user account. If that is selected, you need to delete dcppboot.xml from the AppData/ApexDC++ folder under the hidden Users folder. :)

Let me know if you have anymore problems.
