  1. Connection problem

    thanks for replying, but...>_< i'm not using a router; i'm on uh...direct connection (?) with a cord so i followed the steps outlined in "if you are not behind a router" in the guide linked. i can connect to hubs like techgeeks, but not to my school hub. i know that the school hub itself isnt down cause people i know are using it. also, i'm a bit confused about step 5: Test active mode byclicking on the test connection hyperlink in the connection settings page. the "check connections" hyperlink isnt clickable when i am choose "direct connection"

    @Satan: i'm a complete newbie at this. i used to be able to connect to the hub at my school, but after my internet got cut and reconnected, i have been getting the message that greghobson99 is getting. can you please explain in more detail, or link me to a specific guide? sorry to be a complete bother...
