I can confirm this bug, happens here on Athlon64 on XP SP2, using latest Apex version while doing nothing except regular downloading, when i come back to my pc i see this error apparently without a "normal" reason for it. Here is the exception info: Code: c0000005 Version: 0.3.0 (2006-11-12) Major: 5 Minor: 1 Build: 2600 SP: 2 Type: 1 Time: 2006-11-17 21:40:14 TTH: HMG7SFF6MHOSHQMZI6IRCYSXTEFITXI4ET5276Y d:\cvs\apexdc++\apexdc\client\uploadmanager.cpp(474): UploadManager::on d:\cvs\apexdc++\apexdc\client\userconnection.h(417): UserConnection::on d:\cvs\apexdc++\apexdc\client\bufferedsocket.cpp(359): BufferedSocket::threadSendFile d:\cvs\apexdc++\apexdc\client\bufferedsocket.cpp(476): BufferedSocket::checkEvents d:\cvs\apexdc++\apexdc\client\bufferedsocket.cpp(522): BufferedSocket::run d:\cvs\apexdc++\apexdc\client\thread.h(134): Thread::starter f:\rtm\vctools\crt_bld\self_x86\crt\src\threadex.c(348): _callthreadstartex f:\rtm\vctools\crt_bld\self_x86\crt\src\threadex.c(326): _threadstartex

Romania, bellieve it or not ... and some users did tell me they are unable to install any software and the current oDC mummy was installed and RECOMMENDED by their ISP when they got their cable connection. The BAD news is 171 of 629 users had oDC installed and 56 users had old DC++ clients, i'm still trying to figure out a sollution to get them to upgrade ...

Weee can i have one without NetLimiter ? PeerWeb didn't have detection for Limiter either Well there will always be clients wich don't report limiters and there will always be other limiters that aren't detected and there is always be the source code if one wants to fake it, one good and frequent use for NetLimiter is by HubOwners wich use the same machine for the Client and the HubSoft so they limit uploads to client to give more resources to the hubsoft :stuart:

It's a bug and it's verry old from early versions of strongdc, the only (advanced) client that didn't have it was zion, it happens with any long menus if the menu is longer than the screen and if your mouse happens to be at the lower side of the screen then the menu goes offscreen instead of showing scroll ... :stuart:

If it only were that simple ... many of them don't know how to shutdown the PC properly or do anything else than play solitaire and read their mail . Question is how do you get the hundreds/thousands/... of users wich have no ideea how to install a program to upgrade that antique piece of software called oDC wich comes installed by the narrow minded ISP :stuart: , a better sollution would be to allow downloading old lists but never send them in that format maybe send a fake filelist with one file named "ATENTION !!! You have to upgrade your DC++ or oDC whatever client.txt" and put instructions how to do it, that would make them upgrade, if that doesn't work they won't be able to download anything.
