Crise: "Did we? Can't recall promising that."

However, I do feel a need for change within it as on 1024*768 and with my transfers "section" viewable it is hard to select the hubs I wish to search. I don't know of a particularly better way though.Yeah, got this issue too.

You might wanna check the McDC++ svn.I've done some changed to Notepad to make it save every x minutes (if anything is changed).
Anyways. I'm of for 2 weeks now
Welcome CraKteR, and err... goodbye then. :P

Big Muscle plans to do this eventually to StrongDC++. :P
-
We also came to the conclusion it would be memory intensive.
-
"Firewall with manual port forwarding"This needs to be on by default. When would you want ports to be randomised? It's stupid.

Non fateci aspettare....dateci apex!!!!English, please.

I'll look into adding auto update ip every X minutes (haven't yet decided the count of minutes, as 10 seems too often to me) but disable sounds i don't think it'll happen unless i can get it hideable too like that clear chat buttonRather than having an option to show each individual feature, maybe a "Enable extra chat options" would be worth while.

Ok, but isn't it obivious, PWDC++ was free so is ApexDC++ too, besides if i'm correct in this case the license even doesn't allow us to make ApexDC++ commercial, so it should be obivious reallyHeh, lighten up. :)

?? what do you mean with thisHe just wants us to shout that ApexDC++ is FREE!

I really like the option in fulDC to refresh seperate directories. Can it be added in ApexDC++?Thnx
What is the point in this? You may as well just refresh the whole filelist.

We plan to have a quick first time startup guide for the user to select between Basic and Advanced mode. Not sure how easy this will be.
-
he meant auto-update ip every 10 minutesYou're right, I read it wrong.
We don't want the connection settings being full of different options, it will complicate the user. Considering many users don't even know how to setup their client properly in the connection window..

Auto-Update IP on startup will definitely be in... we had it for PeerWeb DC++ and it was very useful. :)

Choose a date that you believe ApexDC++'s first public version will be released on, and post it below. If it's in the month of February, you must choose a date. The member closest to the correct date of the version's public release will receive Beta Tester status, giving you the authorisation to download new beta versions and test them before anyone else!
Good luck!
My date: 28th February.

Bloody cool! You'll get my share when I get the app. Soon I hope? The topic does give a rough estimate as to when ApexDC++ will be out. :)

The private RC11 to-do list is nearly complete. So maybe this month. :)

Introduction
Welcome to ApexDC++, home of the new StrongDC++ modification from the creators of PeerWeb DC++. A new project was in need, we wanted backing from two major P2P websites (PeerWeb and neXTPeer) and we now have it. Furthermore, many hub networks including The Ascendent Network, and TechGeeks Online are already supporting ApexDC++. Expect ApexDC++ to be very popular - more so than PeerWeb DC++!
Before we go any further, I'd like to show the team's appreciation for the amount of support we've received. Donators have allowed us to get the site off the ground, and support from hub owners and networks will increase the project's popularity fast.
Development
ApexDC++ will be based on the upcoming StrongDC++ RC11 release, fixing a huge amount of bugs and increasing the mod's efficiency at transferring. Due to my Beta Tester role at StrongDC++, I can tell you this version is going to rock. And so will ApexDC++.
Our program will consist of the popular features found in PeerWeb DC++ before we make progress in developing true features in the client. If you enjoyed a feature in PeerWeb DC++, ensure we know about it to include it in ApexDC++. Internal betas will be provided to Donators (All donations go towards mirrors, the IPB license and new C++ coders) and Beta Testers. Currently, we are not excepting any Beta Testers (PeerWeb DC++'s Beta Testers are welcomed back to this project). However, you may check out our new competition that will grant you Beta Tester status! Or, you can help out with the hosting and forum license costs by donating (this will grant you permission to use betas).
The first official version of ApexDC++ will be 1.0 Beta. This version will have new themes, graphics, features from PeerWeb DC++ and others clients, and any other features we manage to intergrate in a short space of time. However, we need to wait until Big Muscle releases StrongDC++ RC11 before we do any coding. Expect 1.0 Beta to be out soon after.
Site and Forums
The website is currently being developed. It will include a very smart and simplistic design, with screenshots, features, downloads, poll, updates, staff list, etc available. This website will be more advanced than PeerWeb DC++'s, due to Nas coding it. The forums will be skinned soon. Nerdcore GFX is our official Graphics creators, so please check them out! They'll start work soon with new splash screens, headers, logos, etc.
Please spread the word, and go register! :)

10 minutes is a good interval Crise. "Disconnect users who leave hub" will be on by default, and if a user disconnects from the hub, and returns before 10 minutes they are granted a slot. Therefore, if a user is cut off due to an IP change, it would be wise to keep it at 10 minutes so they can get back in and receive the slot.
