You're limiting your whole computer/internet connection, this is client based. And tell me, will users really understand all that, over a limiter? - considering they can't even get into active mode I believe the answer is no.
-
Because OP's can notice the ApexDC++ slot display, and connection tags - neither are in DC++, and therefore the OP will know you're emulating.
-
What is jetaudio? ^_^
-
These icons are for the new connection type method, which aren't present in PeerWeb DC++.
-
A "dimmed" icon is sufficiant. You can see a user's away message when you talk to them in a PM. If they are away, they will send their message.
-
No. Try browsing the Internet when uploading flat out in DC++. Hell, you won't even be able to achieve a decent download speed because your upload speed is saturating the connection. That's what you want to happen in ApexDC++? We don't. :shifty:
-
Well it's enabled by default in DC++. So it can't use that much RAM. An option in ApexDC++ and a warning about RAM usage maybe suitable.
-
True, but there are a lot of people with the same idiotic view as the author of this topic.
-
Oh, I believe DC++ has this system log window.. will see. :shifty:
-
I think it's just because you've transferred your DC++ queue. Try downloading a popular file on a public hub, and see whether it searches and finds alternative users.
-
Obviously didn't setup active mode properly then.
-
Did you create it yourself, if so why not finish it? :shifty:
-
Nice work... I'll add.
-
NetLimiter is shown in description though (AFAIK). Get rid of emulation? What about hubs that haven't heard of ApexDC++... no users will be able to connect.
-
Maybe, but some people might want to use it as a desktop icon. They'll be able to change it with some icon. If he wants to set the new pm icon, he may as well be able to set the main icon too.
-
Why not leave the indexing progress window open? The status bar bottom left tells you what has just been hashed.
-
Weird. Pink is default for common chunks, maybe it didn't change.

Just over a week after releasing 0.1.0 and 10,000 downloads, we bring you our latest milestone release, 0.2.0 (Preview 2). This new preview brings many features to users, alongside fixes, changes and gui improvements. Thanks to everyone who has already provided feedback to our first release, keep them coming! As usual, check out our changelog for the full details. The tour page has been updated with this new release, but most importantly, jump to the download page! Preview 1 users can download and install the setup file to upgrade without losing settings, queues, etc.

Every system tray icon is 40KB. It may not seem much, but including like 5-10 choices will result in a 200-400KB increase in exe file size. Although, I wouldn't mind having this customisation option.

Did you even read the post above you? Because that tells you we care whether it "hurts you".
-
Then you need to get in active mode.

MAking download from multiple sources even more smart
Lee replied to Pedja's topic in Feature Requests
Um, disconnecting slow users means that the fast uploader tcan upload the same chunk. -
Quite a few of your requests are already in the client, so please look before requesting. Like A_Alias said, reduce the max hash speed in Experts only settings.
