We're preparing our forums and website for a complete backup ready to move to a new server. The current server is too expensive for what we (and fellow customers) require. Please be patient while this move is proceeding, and we hope to see you on the forums when they return! It's not all bad news though; We're hoping to release a new preview in a few days after Big Muscle releases a new StrongDC++ version. If the customisable popup feature is in fulDC, we'll take a look. ApexDC++ already shows green tabs for connected hubs and red tabs for disconnected.

I wouldn't mind having an email address configurable per hub. Some day we hope to implement a basic/advanced settings page. :)

This should be in support forum. You can disable segment downloading via the settings. What clients are you downloading off? How many users have the file you want?

Just thought I'd bring this topic back up and show you our dedication to catering for older DC++ users, so they can convert to a newer client. We're slowly but surely adding requested features in this topic, and one that will be included in 0.3.0 is the filelist refresh button in the toolbar. This is obviously customisation (e.g. you can remove or add it), but I believe having it there by default would be excellent. Two other toolbar icons to be included will be a shortcut to opening your downloads directory, and to display the winamp toolbar.

Nope... it's not for spying on specific people, rather just seeing what's a popupar search string in the hub. Although AFAIK it shwos IP's but not nicknames.

And how common is that? The general concensus of users would be to keep it enabled, and anyone in this situation can disable it. It's useful for the most of our users. :blink:

The small uploads isn't just for filelists, it's for all files below the specified filesize.

We promised to reveal the logo and features behind ApexDC++ standard edition a few days ago, and here they are. We have a couple of images to show you first, which are the logo and splash screen: Blue logo Silver logo Splash screen Both logos will be available in the program. One will act as the main icon and the other will be displayed on a new private message. That's not all we're showing off today. We have been working on the website to prepare a tour of the program, which provide screenshots and features available in the current alpha versions available to donators and testers. Along with the tour page, we've got two other pages to show you. Our links page provides you with our recommended sites, including affiliates and other decent DC++ clients. The second page is our staff page with a list of administrators, developers and testers. Come find out what each staff member does at this site! As most people will know, StrongDC++ 2.x was released recently. We're hard at work producing new features ApexDC++ based on this and it shouldn't be long now until you're using a ApexDC++ build. Keep checking back for more updates on this. In the meantime, why not comment on the latest images previewed in this announcement?

Like stated in the other topic, you do not lose your slot. Why would it be slower download speed off one user?

You're slot is still open when a segment finishes, you won't lose it.

Short answer: I don't believe so. Unless you subscribe to all your topics without any notifications.

No, when the program is launched it will not overwrite your .bak, but will do so after the period of time you've set. And BM: Watch your memory, StrongDC.exe will (sometime) stay in memory for a few secs/mins after you close it. That's a guarantee. :D

I don't believe that is the problem here. If he restarts his computer just after closing the client his queue is wiped, because it remains in the memory (and it does in mine) for a while after. It's not his unreliable system, but the program.

The fireball is determined by the user uploading at 100kB/s for a consistant period of time. The users appearing red mean they have a slow upload speed (0.01-0.1MB).
