I've been noticing this problem for a few days now - ApexDC++ starts up fine and everything is running normal. My computer usually is up and running 24/7 as well as ApexDC++, now while I left the house ApexDC keeps running. When I come back home and want to check my download queue, messages etc. I cannot get the focus on ApexDC++ window anymore, it stays minimized and windows taskmanager tells me the program is not responding. I tried upgrading to 1.3.6 but the problem didn't go away. When I kill the ApexDC++ task Windows comes up with the usual problem report popup which tells me that the application has crashed. When I restart ApexDC++ everything is just fine again, but will hang again some time later.

Any news on this?

Seems I was wrong about the error caused by large share. Apex hung again with smaller share size. Dunno how to fix this at all :)

Looks like I found the cause of the problem. I removed some files from my share and ApexDC is running fine until now, no hangup or crash occured in more than 24h. Maybe there is a problem with too many files in share? When ApexDC hung my share always exceeded 2 TB.

I got all the same error with V1.3.5, 1.3.6 and 1.3.8. I can't revert to any version older than this because ApexDC will startup and close right away. (because of version check / security issues). At least I can say that ApexDC++ V1.3.5 did run fine for quite a while. For my share I do not experience performance problems.

I did a clean install of Apex 1.3.8 yesterday, also ran chkdsk on any partition (with no errors). This also didn't fix the problem, ApexDC will still hang after some hours runtime. Never had this issue before while I've been using Apex since V1.21 on the same system.

I updated to ApexDC++ 1.3.8 and did a /rebuild yesterday. Still this didn't fix the problem

I do have a backup and I can surely create one. But rebuilding configuration on a clean install from scratch means a lot of work - ok maybe you can restore the favorites from the backup, but maybe it would make sense to rebuild the hash database. Because of my large filecount this takes very long even though the computer uses a fast raid system. I'd really like to avoid things like that :)

I'm not sure, but looks quite similar. Didn't try this yet. I'm quite afraid of losing settings/configuration.

I'm using ApexDC++ for a few days now. Yesterday Windows came up with an error message telling me there was not enough virtual memory left. When I looked in the taskmanager I noticed that ApexDC++ was using more than 2 GB of RAM. I've been using CZDC++ for a few months before and it never used more than 200MB of RAM, so this looks quite unusual to me?
