I can help you with submitting to softodrom.ru, don't know if they accept p2p software though.

Just found this is a VerliHub bug . Close this topic :)
-
We are using here VerliHub 0.9.8c software. Hub rules permit access only if 5+ upload slots are open. StrongDC respects this and if you try to connect with <5 slots it says to kicks you from hub and says to open more slots.
But Apex just connects and works, whatever I open 1 or 2 slots. It just ignores this rule.
Please, fix this behaviour faster, 'cause Apex will be banned in our hub in other case :'(

Seems like slashes is not properly taken of.
Try any nick like "\some\good\nick" and and you'll see such folders in the filelists directory
-
Also, move "Set priority" and "delete" to transfer window too :)

О, у вас тут типа русский саппорт центр ))
Может тогда проще багрепорты и саджешены кидать на русском, а не переводить на английский?)

I think, that remote preview will also cause lotta traffic, because you are downloading file anyway to preview it.
I also would like to recommend to switch previewing player to mplayer(http://mplayerhq.hu) with mpui (http://mpui.sourceforge.net/).
It's really fast, needs no codecs installed. All you need to make it as previewer is to set to rebuild AVI index if it is not available in the options.

Disconnecting slow users might be really bad.
Imagine situation - you are downloading some rare file and only 2 users have it. One is a bit faster. So Apex disconnects and removes slower ones. But without him your download is also slowed down.
And seems like there is a bug with this feature, so Apex (Strong) disconnects slow users even if this feature is disabled in options. Please, fix it.
-
I think it may be caused by "don't download files already in share".
I thought it was fixed in Strong 2.0, file was just copied into new location.
-
Ah, I got what is totally goes wrong. Search interval became veeeeeery big and search won't work until you restart Apex.
-
Oh, free slots value normalized in few minutes...
-
Yes, I know, this shouldn't happen in normal cases, but...
I've accidently changed my system date to 2007 year. I changed it back to right date in few minutes, but what I have in Apex - all download and upload streams shows 0b/s speed and weird completition times. Ok, I've disconnected all of them. After reconnection they shows correct times and speeds, but even after few minutes, I see I have 5 free slots (as in my settings) at description, but actually, all of them are busy.

But why not? At the IRC you can change your nick name to something like "amp|away", but here you are stick with it, 'cause its like your address. So this little feature could be very nice.
-
I've noticed that this feature is already included, but as for me, I can't figure out which users are here and which are away (they have dimmed icons, right?). I think something like adding [AWAY] tag to description might be more recognasible for others.
Stupid question - where can I see other's away message?
-
Yes, it is. But BM removed it from StrongDC, 'cause "it eats too much RAM", he said.
-
Link icons as a separate dll, so users may change icon theme just by replacing it. This is done in miranda-im, and I like such behaviour.
-
I meant, I wished to see what ApexDC is doing right now. Not only hashing process. This are things like searching TTH, automatic filelist refresh and so on. You may limit output for example by 40 lines, so it shouldn't eat much memory.
-
As where any chance to see indexing window? I mean something like System Log in orthodox DC, showing what are we doing now. I know, BigMuscle don't like this, he saying it eats lots of memory. But maybe something a bit simplier maybe implemented? I've noticed, that you may see parts of this output in baloon tooltip of the main window, but this behaviour is not much comfortable.
-
I can partially support this. 'cause we don't have unlimited internet access and we have to pay for traffic (0.06$ per MB). Only ISP's internal traffic is free. So, we have to block any incoming and outgoing activities of the DC to keep it free for us. This also includes blocking users from other ISPs.
Actually, we use firewalls, but each new user have to set it up personally with his own software installed. Making settings for "allowed ranges" in one place would be nice. On per hub basis.
-
But why error message appears?
If I do /stats and simply copy its output to chat, there is no problem.
-
If understood it right, it must publish my stats to chat?
So, seems like a bug in there. In our hub we have limit of max 10 lines of text. So, hub bot replys to this command
<SpecialForce> Too many chat lines (>10):-=[ ApexDC++ 0.2.0 ]=-
-=[ Uptime: 14 hours 21 min 27 sec ][ Cpu time: 1:09:47 ]=-
-=[ Memory usage (peak): 15,24 MB (45,91 MB) ]=-
-=[ Virtual memory usage (peak): 46,72 MB (56,48 MB) ]=-
-=[ Downloaded: 1005,10 MB ][ Uploaded: 2,37 GB ]=-
-=[ Total download: 145,36 GB ][ Total upload: 248,24 GB ]=-
-=[ System Uptime: 14 hours 29 min 54 sec ]=-
-=[ CPU Clock: 1800,127563 MHz ]=-
As we can see, output has only 8 lines... I misunderstood something or this is a bug?
Hub is running VerliHub.
-
It also happened even source wasn't partial and his content was exclusive in the hub.
-
Yes, first we found such behaviour on SDC 1.0RC10, and it wasn't fixed in 2.01 too.
-
This bug appears in ApexDC 0.2.0. Also it was in StrongDC since 1.0 RC10 (maybe earlier).
When downloading from source, StrongDC sometimes stops, saying something like "No needed part", even if source have full files and he is the only source of this files on hub. Source also became removed from source list (slow user error). Force reconnect, readd etc not helping. But if you "pause" download and resume (or reconnect to hub), it will start again.
This also happens even if slow download disconnecting options are both disabled.

Just add an option to replace only isolated (with spaces on both sides) smiles, like its done in miranda-im.
