[Support] 374 Users to Download From only 3 Segments :/
pakelikea replied to Desperados's topic in Support
if your in passive mode you can only connect to other passive users so that is most likely the problem with your sources. I recommend forwarding your ports rather then shutting down important security you need on your pc. Put your firewall back up and turn off dmz then you can use www.portfoward.com for specific step by step instructions for your router/firewall on how to become active. Also in Apex theres a cool link that checks if your ports are actually open its located under the connection settings. -
I've gotten this crash when I start the program a couple of times now. I auto connect to the 10 biggest hubs. CPU useage is way up at 80-100% in preview 2 when preview 1 would never go above 40%. Theres something wrong with the code for completed downloads because they are staying in the connection transfer window until I exit the client and load it back up. Also if I pause a download it stays in the connection window taking up one of the file slots but still pauses the transfer. I'm hopeing this is an easy fix because I have to restart the client often to open slots for more dowloads. Also could you duplicate the code for small upload slots for downloads so that auto match queue option doesn't slow down transfers so much.

[Error] thats Slowing down downloads 0.1.0
pakelikea replied to pakelikea's topic in Pre 1.0 Reports
I've tried doing that and it still doesn't remove it I've tried disconnect all remove all and the completed downloads are still there until I reload. -
mine crashed when I turned on peerguardian for a few mins then turned it off and joined another hub. I was running only apex on my pc with an uptime of 8 or so hours. I am also only connecting to one or two sources at a time when there are over 500 sources. I will get connections at 20-30kbs but they get dropped after a few seconds. I tried tweaking the write buffer around alittle bit with an increase to a max of 6 sources at a time but its nothing compared to what previous clients were streaming 15+ downloads at over 1mb/s. This is also a problem I noticed in Strongdc v2.01 which I can't even download over 50kB/s with.
