so is there a safe alternate to net limiter?
-
I have Net Limiter installed and was wondering since I got the warning message installing ApexDC what a safe alternate is, since I actually use it for almost the reverse of what most would think of using it for (I use it to maximize bandwidth to DC by limiting other stuff e.g. newsgroup downloads).

Well I like the blue logo
looking great so far

Hmm, i'll have a look into this, don't know what's the use though?Actually probably for most people no use at all. I use the search spy mainly to see what the most popular searches are in my hub and to be certain certain people arent sharing some files they aren't supposed to :)

Would it be possible to enable logging of the search spy window as an option ?

The ability to do daily/monthly logs is present, but it's not set to do so. Thus, in ApexDC++ we're going to have it set to produce monthly chat logs when installed, rather than the user having to configure it (in this case).ahh now I understand thankyou :)

Okay now I'm confused (not hard by the way) I thought from what Crise said right at the beginning of the thread 'tested this and it's possible at present' that it mean't it wouldn't need to be added since it's already there?
-
Edit: tested this and it's possible at present, so just edit your log file name settingsCool thanks...but would that mean I'd have to rename it each time so it'd start a new one? or is there a way to set it to do that auto?

What I would like to see is logfiles split into seperate days instead of just one huge logfile (in much the same way as mIRC does). I know it's possible (there was at one time a DC++ client that I know could do it...but I don't remember which one now)

oh yeah I got the hint but since it insists during install that Net Limiter can cause crashes of DC (or is that scare mongering?
) I wanted to see if there was a safer alternate for what I use it for.
