sorry, don't know how to add this here, so did it as an attachment this is from dc pro and basically it's what you get when using the "view hub tree" menu" M
-
Just to get this straight If peeweb users have it enabled, can i see how many free slots they have? M
-
okay, so i guess it's up te me, to get all direct connect users to use Peerweb. I'm on it  M
-
I can't see anything like that. But thanks anyhow. M
-
But isn't it up to the user himself what goes in there, and it can be different for each hub you are in. you can write in "sharing old movies" or whatever M
-
so are you saying, that if emulation of dc++ is disabled, you should be able to see the amount of free slots a user has in "description" Specifically what "description" are you referring to. M
-
yes, if you tick the aprropiate boxes in settings. M
-
peerweb/setting/show extra information in description is enabled. result when copying someones tag <++ V:0.674,M:P,H:0/1/0,S:3> so no difference. M
-
but isn't there a already a "log main chat" "log private chat" option in settings. Am I missing something? M
-
Hi. Here is a tag from a user in a hub I'm in <++ V:0.306,M:P,H:0/1/1,S:4> it only shows the amount of slots that person has, not the amount he has free. The only time you see how many slots a user has free, is when using "search" Please correct me, if I'm wrong. M

I was getting my tea ready : As for what Dc was doing, it was uploading and downloading files. M

1, Would it be possible to make peerweb appear as dc++ as an option in settings/appearance, so that one time will do it for all hubs you are in, or any future hubs. 2. the winamp is a nice if trivial thing. but is it possible for it to update automatically, and also to have it appear automatically in all hubs you are connected to. M
-
I thought it would be nice if you could distinguish between who's male and who's female. I guess this could only be done in hubs where people have to register. Obviously sometimes the nick is a giveaway, or you can take an educated guess. But take for instance my nick "irish" I could be either sex. I just think it would be nice to see what sex the person you are chatting to is. So i was thinking maybe different colours in user list for male and female. m

so when i want to emulate peerweb in my favourite hubs, i have to go into properties/emulate dc but if i visit a hub that's not in favourites, it automaticaly emulates dc. Hmm, that sounds very odd to me, or am i missing the point completly. If I am missing the point. What is the point. "Too much spam"! You can't have too much spam. Ask Monty Python. Didn't spam help win the second world war. M

1. is it in peerweb version 0.41. I haven't come across it. 2. when i play audio in winamp and hit the first winamp button/icon on the toolbar, it will say something like "Martin is playing Black sabbath-paranoid at 128 kbs. but when the next track is played, new information does not appear in the hub window. M

ok, well as i said before i'm not a techie, so have no idea whether there is anything in that. just in case you weren't aware. Moglo only searches. you still have to connect to hub to download. M
-
is there any way to have a moglo type function for private hubs. ie the search all private hubs you are in, including those you are not connected to. how about being able to message all downloaders at once M
-
Well the people I'm getting files from need not necessarily be in the same hub, but they could be. One of the private hubs I am in has the facility to do something like that in a right click menu You can message all users or the ops. But Speaking purely as a simpelton regarding technical matters, I don't think your argument holds much water. I think it would be very very strange, if many hub users at the same time decided to send messages to those whom they were downloading from. I saw this facility in Soulseek, and that's why i brought it up. But thanks for giving it your attention As a person who just uses Dc, and hasn't contributed in any technical way to it, I appreciate the time and effort, that people put into making it better. M

moglo is a program that allows you to search for files, or usernames but only in public hubs. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/p2p_soft...s/glo-seach.cfm But i guess i take your point about the dc spirit. M
-
oops, sorry, i didn't Everything is fine now. I'll give PW another go. M
-
I tried peerweb. But had to give it up, because one of the hubs wouldn't allow me in with it. M
-
File preview automatically search users with free slots tabs at side (as in sababa) refine search results web window (as in sababa) automatically grant slot to whoever you download from get mp3 info, or even better when searching for a file, and get multiple hits, the ability to see the encoding. M
-
Dc pro had this, but don't thik it was actually working. Well maybe both people had to have same client. M
-
If it's not obvious by now, I'm not a techie. So if some of these requests are silly, then please give me some leeway. "Messaging all downloaders at once is going to kill the program. Plus it's spam." Hmm, So if i have to disconnect and want to leave a message, such as "Sorry, I have to disconnect, will be back as soon as possible" it's spam? [*]how can you search in a hub you aren't connected to? I dunno, i just thought I'd ask. M
