Search Spy

9 posts in this topic

ive niticed that in apex the search spy doesnt show who made the search. And it will be good if search spy had a clear option(instead of closing it)And if its possible to have search spy 2 who wont delete the stats after u close apex /or such option/( i dont want search spy2 to show me the results from the point i started apex , i want to show me the overall results) and one more : i know that count if increased even if 1 user makes 10 equal searches add a option count to increase only if the search is made by another user, so search spy results will be realistic.

1. Showing "who what search" - DON'T DO IT! It's RIGHT!

2. Clear option... close and open... but... I'm also vote for it. B)

3. Overall results... VOTE! But one moment... save only Top100. Saving all - nonsense.

4. Detecting "who what search" for "who search ..." may be, but don't show who...

p.s. I can tell you top5 searches...

...it's:

1. porn

2. porno

3. xxx

4. teen

5. video

...any time, any day, any country...

:D

Operators need to be able to see who is searching what to be able to identify material like child pornography. Enable it for OPs and Admins, please.

I'll take a look, but i have a feeling that it's easier said than done or even (currently) impossible...

i've not tried it in ApexDC++, but i guess there must be a column like "IP". actually, when receiving search requests, you only receive IPs, and ApexDC++ can't have an easy way to match this IP to someone's nick. however, once you have established a connection with this IP (i mean, download his file list for instance), ApexDC++ can then know this user's IP. try it and see if it works, otherwise IIRC it needs few work in ClientManager.

I dont have such tab (like 'IP' or 'user')

And i know that download filelist trick - but DLing 500 filelists takes some HD space and time and resources.

you're right. maybe they will add such a column in the OP edition. they probably didn't put it here because you usually don't see anything else but IPs, unless the "searcher" (dunno the word) is in passive mode.

...detecting duplicated searches by IP...

...hm... it's :)

...also list with top can be improved:

1. Add progress bar for every search in list. Top search have 100%. Other based on this search.

2. Add subelevel (like, when downloading multisource file) with IP's.

3. Add menu for items in list like "Match names" for IP's in sublevel of item. (It's ping this IP's and start downloading filelist's, after downloading extracting name and place it in column "Nick").

4. Any other ideas?
