Guessing that MS ****ed up and labeled opencandy as adware and yes the installer uses opencandy but there isnt any potential danger in it

all it does basically is to recommend a software on install if you dont want it just tick the do not install recommend software on the opencandy part try and update your spyware definitions

Eset Nod32 did the same thing till they reported it. After updating the definitions they fixed their mistake.

We will be moving away from OpenCandy in our 1.4 update. :)

I hate OpenCandy, every time Avira report nowadays... Where can I download the installer which is "OpenCandy" free?:)

It's available on the Sourceforge files section.

There is no installer without OpenCandy? :)

Nope, use the slim version to get the required files. :)

Creating installers with and without would be a pain on every release.
