Dynamic IP's with ApexDC++

thxxx for your answer.

yes of course i have a prefix of this kind....xxxxxx.mine.nu :(

i´m using speedport w700v and actually it has the feature to update my ip via dyndns...as i said it works perfectly for my ftp...at the moment i´m using the dydns-client and this works too.

only apex updates the ip exactly one time...after i filled in my hostname in wan-address field...but if my ip changes again it doesn´t update anymore and i get "your client delivered wrong ip...".

it seems crazy...impossible and i´m really running mad...:(

Make sure update ip on startup is NOT checked and also allow Dont allow hub/upnp to override IS checked.

Also, log into dyndns.org and check your ip is currently up to date.

finally found the error! i had crappy dns-servers in my internet connection data and they didn´t work properly! changed them...now everything works fine!

this could be a problem of more people asking for help concerning dyndns...

Where doesn't it work? Explain what you have done so far? It may help us identify your error

I puted my dns in that tool, and it again doesn't update my ip, so I again have to manually add my ip.

If I wanna try via router, where exacly I should put that in ?

Your router should have a DNS section if it supports such a feature....

BTW, you need a DNS update tool, not just to log into the website.

One of these tools is called the DUC client.

what does the button do?
in general, in adc (or nmdc if hub supports userip2) the ip received from the hub is already used.

Thanks !!
