[1.0.1] Shared files from ext. hdd disappear after disconnecting the hdd

4 posts in this topic

Hi!

AcidStew has already mentioned this prob two months ago: http://forums.apexdc.net/index.php?showtop...p;mode=threaded

but it seems that nobody cares about that.

That's really driving me nuts! Since lots of stuff I share is on my external drive, I'd have to add all the directories again and again everytime i reconnect the drive (well, I just copy the files.xml.bz2 and DCPlusPlus.xml).

I'd like to have the DC++ behaviour that unreachable directories are shown (without subdirs) as 0B dirs, so that the others know there's something more and I'd had less work to do.

Hopefully it will be fixed within the next release ;)

Just make an order in your share. Why you want to share something which doesn't physically exist? It's only to rot when someone looks at your filelist, wants to download some folder from it, but this folder is empty.

Well I have posted about this before. Not so much a fix. But a temporary workaround.

1.Add the folders when they are there.

2. Close Apex

3. Go to settings and make DCPlusPlus.xml read only.

Now when you open Apex the folders will still be there.

I totally agree with BM, share with files not available is fake share. Before this 0 B thing in DC++ there was nothing else than a ban for fake share.
