Password protection improvement

10 posts in this topic

Hello All

The problem is that when you protect your apexdc with password

and minimize it to tray, another user can access your dc simply by

trying to open another apexdc++ and pressing "no" button in the

message appears "Do you want to launch another instance anyway?"

after pressing "no" in message above apexdc window appears without

requiring any password.

Hope you solve it.

bye.

It's not a bug, it is something that cannot be fixed...

So how we can protect our client? :)

Against this, I don't think you can... other than by the means your os provides to you (separate user accounts etc.)

If it's that easy to circumvent, surely there is no point in it being there?

Damn, never thought of that... :whistling:

For Lee and Satan: This was originally a feature I did mainly to annoy my big brother, and even with this flaw it did the job pretty damn well :D
