  1. Zone Alarm is not DC-friendly. Even if you allow DC through it, downloads get corrupted. Just make a choice. My opinion is that a PC can be equally protected with the Comodo products ( www.comodo.com ) + AVG 8.0 Free and maybe + Spybot. Only my 2 cents...

  2. Thanks guys - worked perfectly!

You should add the Link to such a hub server right beside the apexdc++ download source.

    Have a Good Time

    ZORROX

Maybe we have to, but still we have own project here, and if we add hub soft link, one day we might end up with pizza delivery. :) But maybe if Yn link to us... :)

  3. Sorry to disappoint you, but even if UPnP happens to work for DC, it is an "accident", just luck. One such "accident" happened to me at work today on XP and cable modem + router. :) Maybe a "bug" we have to look into, but it is likely to be present in DC++ > Strong DC++, so...

  4. Thanks for the suggestion, but as i said i can't delete them manually without closing Apex first, because windows doesn't let me as they're in use. So i was kind of hoping for a solution that doesn't involve closing Apex.

    A small utility called Unlocker?

  5. Yes, Apex DC++ works fine for me on Vista 64bit Ultimate as a x86 application. Haven't noticed any specific glitches (such "glitches" happen with internet browsers however, in row of severity FF, IE and Opera show "Program will now close". I checked the RAM.).

  6. i ve got another problem , using IDC++ 2.03 (dc++ 0.674 based) i can't download apex users filelist , and strongdc 2.xx filelist.

Is the latest pure standard DC++ downloading from the latest Apex DC++ and SDC++? If so, as I believe, U should contact IDC++ support.

    d:\development\apexdc\trunk\windows\chatctrl.cpp(931): ?

This is what I have got. Tried to spam user registration info (loaded hub-side command) to online user.

  8. I dont enter anything into the WAN box or into faves, my active works fine in apex.

Same here. But I need to give Apex some time, don't know why. It just suddenly starts working. Say after 5 or 10 mins.

  9. It seemed to me that Apex knew from the beginning that it will overlap. It would be nice to change and actually show the real size that it is downloading, even if it is overlapping.

How could Apex know it, esp. when faster user can appear at any time?

  10. I simply do not understand...

I am using "Firewall with manual port forwarding". Further. my Fav Hubs have empty value, I just point to the LAN adres for my 4 local hubs (right, they are on a PC on another LAN port of my router, but it is the same in theory?). So, if you manage to update the IP in settings, all should be OK.

  11. Umm, I am using 2 x 1 GB PQI 667MHz + 512MB V-DATA Memory Expert 800MHz right now. Sure, it does not say "Dual channel" anymore, but I ran Memtest, no errors, and I have 2.5GB in Windows. True, the PC randomly restarts, and I will remove the V-DATA to check. What PCI frequency do you recommend? Auto or 33.33, or some of the other two above values?
