    Or fix the problem by disabling UAC. Or you can use Rytis's workaround if you are unable to do this. But do note, you will be stuck with Apex 1.1.0 forever and will not be able to use any of the new builds. Also ensure your are the 'owner' of the Apex folder should you still have problems.

    Thank you. But don't you think that the upcoming 1.2.0 stable version should be compatible with UAC? Because sometimes UAC is quite a good thing. :)

    Hey all,

    I recently downloaded ApexDC++ 1.2.0B (i was using DC++ before) and just started using it today as i'm back at university. While hashing my files, it keeps getting an error: "Error saving hash data: The system cannot find the file specified." I have gone into my folders and looked, and all the files it is trying to hash are there and working fine. I never had a problem like this with DC++. It's only been able to hash around 1 gig when i have much, much more than that. As a result my share size is too low to log on to my university's hub. Rather annoying.

    Also eery once in a while i get an "Access is Denied" error, but more frequently the File Not Found error.

    I'm running Vista 32 bit, if that matters.

    Next time read before creating a new thread. Just reinstall the previous version (stable 1.1.0 one)

    I also had these problems with the new beta version. I've just reinstalled the stable 1.1.0 version and it all works just fine again. Maybe you should do the same :)

    I had to do a system recovery on my computer for various reasons. so when i redownloaded apex and log into my hub right away i get this in the bottom left hand corner "error creating magnet registry key"

    from there i set up all my settings the same way i had them before. and i can get file lists but then when i try to download them I get "Error saving hash data: Access Denied"

    So I close the program and reopen it, all my settings are changed back to default, my hashed folder is not choosen, my connection settings is changed to default, it's like it's the first time i logged in. this happens everytime i close and repen apexDC.

    And when i do put files in my shared folder, before i close it and it resets, it does not register in the hub, it shows i'm sharing 0 i the file list even though that bottom line where the error messages are showing up shows i'm sharing X amount of files and when i open my own file list i can see files i'm sharing. i refresh the file lists and all that and still nothing.

    can anyone help me with the error's i'm getting (registry key and errorsaving hash) and then maybe, hopefully that fixes my shared info.

    fyi in my hub you have to have a certain amount of things shared and specific files shared, updated daily. if you don't after a week or less you get blocked from downloading anything until the next month. so this is kind of important.

    I ran into the same problem as well. The downloads just 'start' but, in fact, they never do. Also, I get the error message saying 'Error saving hash data. Access is denied'. All this happened when I installed the new 1.2.0 Beta version. I've just reinstalled the stable one (1.1.0) and it all works fine again. I guess something is wrong with the new beta. Hope this helps :)
