[1.5.1]Lost tens of THOUSANDS of queued files due to a buggy implemented prune.

Posted by horus22 on 07 January 2012 - 09:11 PM

Title says it all.

The prune function removes queued files if they aren't written on the HDD. This equals with no queued files.
The queue file becomes a Downloaded files log and nothing more.

Hi Lee,

This is a serious bug, and there should be a banner that announces this issue, until it will be fixed.
What do you think?

Is it ok if I return to 1.4.3?
The queue file structure has been changed, to allow downloaded files to be kept queued.
Will this cause any issues to ADC v1.4.3?

No, reverting back to 1.5.0 or 1.4.3 is fine. We also aren't forcing upgrades either, so you're good to revert while we fix this issue.

You could change this behaviour by disabling "Keep finished files in queue" setting.

The issue with wiping 0% downloads has been fixed in our repo.
