release 1.5.2 brings requested fixes

6 posts in this topic

We are releasing a 1.5.2 maintenance update to fix numerous reports from our Tracker. Some of these include logging format, removing incomplete downloads from queue and some other welcome fixes. An undisclosed security vulnerability relating to the experimental KEYP extension has been fixed; as such, we strongly recommend you to upgrade as soon as possible.

Our next major update - 2.0 - will see an icon face lift ready for public testing. We shall announce more details when the time comes, but in the meantime enjoy the 1.5.2 update. :)

Download: ApexDC++ 1.5.2

Autoupdate seems to work now, if a bit too well: I want to be able to decline, but autoupdate didn't offer that - just proceeded to update without my permission. Apex needs to provide an option to disable it if there's no prompt to allow bypassing it.

This is a combination of auto update and the result of the security vulnerability mentioned in the original announcement. Generally speaking, you have the choice to upgrade or not with a regular update. However due to the majority of our users being on a version from 1-2 years ago, we felt it was right to push this. :)
