I've been using apexDC and have spotted lots of virusses (fake exe). I almost opened one of them and was able to delete it with my anti virus program. My questions: How can this be stopped and are you guys doing anything against it ?

That's not ApexDC++'s fault. People who are sharing such files have infected computers with the virus which is spreading like this. The most you can do is to report such user to the admins of the particular hub.

also if your 100% certain you can do an abuse report of the ip via ripe.net

I am 100% certain it was a virus also, when i report, will they know i use apexdc ? I have uploaded files that are not legal in my country.

depends on how you formulate your abuse mail but it really doesn't matter what client you use..
